February 2026
As we buzz our way into February, we’ve put the first month of 2026 behind us already.
Bar the new Air Tag 2, nothing new on the Apple front as yet. Though according to rumours we hopefully will start to see more M5 models announced over the next few months. Plus more rumours for the iPhone 18 models (which won’t come out until about September) - plus keeping an eye on what Apple will do for their first “foldable phone” - so that will be an interesting one to watch out for.
So definitely should be a busy year ahead on the Apple front!
Apple Announces March 4 Special Event in New York
Apple has officially invited media to a “special Apple Experience” taking place on March 4, 2026, in New York, with parallel events scheduled in London and Shanghai, signalling a more global and hands-on approach than its traditional Cupertino keynotes. According to MacRumors, the invite remains light on specifics, but suggests this could be the stage for unveiling several anticipated devices - from the iPhone 17e and refreshed MacBook lineup featuring M5 chips to updated iPads, a low-cost MacBook with an A-series chip, and possibly new Apple displays or home devices - giving media a first look and feel for what’s ahead and the shift in format suggests attendees may get up-close demos of upcoming hardware rather than a standard livestream-only presentation. Industry speculation, points to potential updates across the company’s iPhone, Mac, and iPad lineups, making this early-March gathering one of the most anticipated tech events of the season.
Stay tuned as March 4 inches closer and Apple’s plans take shape.
macOS Tahoe 26.4 Adds Rosetta 2 Warnings as Intel Support Winds Down
Apple’s latest macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta introduces pop-up warnings for users launching apps that rely on Rosetta 2, the translation layer that lets Apple silicon Macs run software built for Intel chips, alerting them that those apps won’t work once support ends after macOS 27 - a clear sign the company is moving closer to fully phasing out Intel compatibility and nudging both developers and users to adopt Apple silicon–native versions before Rosetta is deprecated in future macOS releases. So this could be the “end” for Intel based computers and most likley may not receive newer versions of macOS past macOS26. Given the last Apple computers with an intel chip was released in 2020 it would stand to reason that they’re now “looking ahead” to everything Apple Silicon. So could be worth noting that if you have an older computer - it may lack updates and security patches over the next few years and need to be upgraded.

With scams on the rise in recent years, this eBook is a valuable resource to help you stay informed and protected. It covers key warning signs, practical steps to safeguard yourself and your finances, and crucial advice on recovering if you’ve been scammed.
Sadly, I’ve seen too many people fall victim to scams, which is why I hope this eBook will make a real difference by equipping more people with the knowledge they need.
