MacWizardry
Independent Apple sales, support and advice in Perth.
An Apple journey that began in 1984.
My involvement with Apple computers goes back to 1984, when my dad started the first Apple Centre in Dunedin, New Zealand. That was where my own Apple journey began, and Apple computers have been a part of my working life ever since.
Before starting MacWizardry, I spent around two to three years working in an Apple shop. When that business closed, I decided to continue doing what I enjoyed — helping people choose, understand and get more from their Apple technology.
MacWizardry began in Perth in 2001. In 2026, that makes 25 years of MacWizardry and more than 40 years since my first involvement with Apple computers.

Established in 2001
For 25 years, MacWizardry has provided friendly, independent Apple help to home users and small businesses around Perth.
When you contact MacWizardry, you deal directly with me.
I'm Daniel Kerr, and I handle MacWizardry from the first phone call or email through to quoting, supplying equipment, setup, troubleshooting and support. There isn't a call centre or a different technician each time — you deal with the same person who gets to know you and your setup.
Sales & advice
I can help work out what you actually need, supply new Apple hardware and accessories, and provide practical advice without unnecessary upselling.
Setup & support
From setting up a first Mac to moving to a new one, I can help with data transfers, email, iCloud, printers, backups, Wi-Fi and everyday problems.
Training & explanations
I take the time to explain things in plain English, so you're not just left with something working — you have a better idea of how to use it too.
Apple has changed a lot. Helping people hasn't.
Over the years I've also been involved with the Western Australian Macintosh User Group (WAMUG), helping at meetings, on the mailing list and with demonstrations. It was another way of sharing knowledge and helping people get more from their Macs.
The products have changed enormously since 1984 — from early Apple computers through to today's Macs, iPhones and iPads — but the approach behind MacWizardry is still much the same: listen to what someone needs, recommend a sensible solution and explain it without drowning them in jargon.
Whether you're buying something new, replacing an older Mac, trying to fix a problem or simply want someone to show you how something works, the aim is to make Apple technology easier to live with.

Friendly, practical help
MacWizardry is deliberately personal. Advice is based on what suits you and how you use your technology — not on selling the most expensive option.
